Feeling sorry for Theresa May

Given the fact that the new Brexit deal is essentially a updated version of Teresa Mays deal does anyone feel a bit sorry for her?

It's not an updated version, it's a worse version that leaves the country even worse off. And she is pure evil, look at I what she did as home sec and then look at the mess she got us in by inventing these ridiculous "red lines" for the EU negotiations. If I'm sorry it's because she was ever let anywhere near a position where she had power over people and I hope karma gets her eventually. HTH.

SpoonBlender · 22/12/2019 00:41

God no, not at all. She was an idiot about the whole thing start to finish, continuing her record in Government of being utterly out of her depth and taking zero advice.

TriangularRatbag · 22/12/2019 00:44

It's a fundamentally different withdrawal agreement. And she was a cunt.

CareOfPunts · 22/12/2019 00:46

I don’t feel sorry for her in the slightest. If she hadn’t called that stupid election in 2017 her agreement would probably have been voted through in the end.

AlunWynsKnee · 22/12/2019 00:51

She chased an obviously toxic job, called a surprise election, campaigned very badly, lost the majority, threw in her lot with the DUP and drew red lines that made negotiation difficult. Not to mention her actions as Home Secretary or her failure to reverse austerity as PM.
Struggling to find sympathy.

TeamLannister · 22/12/2019 01:30

No, she brought it on herself. She wanted a bigger majority that she didn't really need, basically just to showboat because she thought Labour was so weak, and ended up the DUP's hostage. Even then, if she had any courage she could have called their bluff...they were never bringing her down when if the alternative was a Corbyn government...but she was too yellow for that. So now everyone has been shafted. She can get to fuck.

RonaldMcDonald · 22/12/2019 01:32

Nope.
She dallied with the DUP - knowing their appalling views on equality and women’s rights
She got shat on after calling an ill timed election. She bought power and knew this might happen. It did.
History will see her as a fool

happinessischocolate · 22/12/2019 01:37

She was all part of the plan

Boris didn't want the job so she got it, she fart arsed around for 3 years, which now has given Boris who didn't want the job and voted against her agreement a free reign to come in and "get brexit done" under the worst possible terms which his oven ready bullshit. I bet she's made millions, but I'd rather be poor than be her

happinessischocolate · 22/12/2019 01:40

I actually hate her more than I hate him and that's saying something

They are both totally void of any empathy or compassion.....total wankers the pair of them

Pixxie7 · 22/12/2019 01:40

Fair enough I agree with most of what has been said. It’s just that I feel she did most of the work and Boris is taking all the credit.

I don't feel sympathy for her at all. Her approach to Brexit, of excluding everyone, even Cabinet, was foolish and self-serving (although that didn't exactly work out for her...), when what she could have done was reach out across the House from the beginning and find a collaborative way forward.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 22/12/2019 01:52

May could have been our saviour if she had taken us out of the EU back in March. She chose not to. But ... Boris couldn't have been the hero he is now without May laying the ground work first.

So its all turned up roses.

happinessischocolate · 22/12/2019 01:52

I'm sure she was paid for her part in it all, if not and she was genuinely used then she as a TORY "remainer" she should have know better

I remember her boasting about being a "difficult woman" yep that worked well didn't it love 🙁 she's done massive harm to women's rights and the chances of woman being treated like equals in Westminster
