I want to be a good hostess but this is exhausting!

I'm having friends round next week for drinks and games. I had an idea that if you don't win a game you have to drink a shot. There in lies the rub - I've bought all the alcohol but perfecting the shots is becoming exhausting - I'm on my fifth now and I just can't seem to get them right Grin AIBU in just lying down in a darkened room?

If you’re trying to float one spirit on top of another are you doing it over the back of a teaspoon?

BuffaloCauliflower I am trying to float them - didn't think of the teaspoon method - making one that looks like a suspended brain and another that looks like a birthday cake - harder than it looks!

If you are making 'Dead Brain' and drinking it in one go, you should get a big hit to the back of the head. Are you OK? I had one once, never again.

Are you putting the densest liquid on the bottom? If not, this can be something that messes up the layers. (No idea how you tell this, though Grin)

Definitely run down the back of a spoon, use pouring spouts if you have them too.

DontCallMeShitley don't think it's that one - I actually don't feel any effect but the liqueurs aren't strong and the grenadine has no alcohol

Brain one is peach schnapps, dollops of Bailey's, then use the back of a teaspoon to dribble it down the inside of the glass.

Dead Brain one I had was blue with a white brain blob, it was very powerful, like being hit in the head. You wouldn't want more than one of them. I never found out what was in it.
