Anyone else hate going out Friday night?

My husband is out every Saturday this month including this Saturday. Now he did ask did I mind and I had no plans and if I had he'd change his or not go.
The thing is he's insisting we have a night out just to the pub for a few drinks and has called me to tell me his mum will come over tomorrow to mind dc so that we can go out but I'm really not looking forward to it.

I hate going out Friday as he doesn't get home until 7:30 so we might be out of the house by 8:30 and after being in work all week he usually is itching to go home around 11. Even if we're home he's in bed on Friday night around 11. Our pub is in the village about 10 minutes drive and not walkable.

I will spend all day tomorrow with three dc (2 babies) and be lucky to have 5 minutes to do my hair and makeup whereas if we went out on a Saturday I'd be able to have a nice shower, wash my hair and spend time doing my make up. I will then have to clean the house before mil arrives.

We're up early on Saturday morning for ds football match and then I've to head off to finish the shopping and be back to give dh a lift into town.

In the past I'be told him I wish he'd plan more stuff for us to do so I'm glad he's listening to me but I really just don't feel like going out tomorrow and I'd rather go out some Saturday after Christmas.
Aibu or should I just go as he's making an effort

YABU I think you should go and make the effort - but why does it take an hour to get out the house? (perhaps I don't dress up enough!)

lifeissweet2020 · 19/12/2019 18:42

It will take him about 20/30 mins but by the time he comes in see dc talks to his mum I anticipate it being around 8:30

I'd love my DH to make the effort, he never wants to go out. Ever.

I don't think you're being unreasonable though!

Yanbu all my friends like going out on Fridays I hate it. I'm too knackered from work, I like Saturdays because I'm not as tired

Why is a 10 minute drive not walkable?

You'll enjoy yourself once out, plus it's mad Friday!
