He’s fronting an awareness campaign about male infertility.

It’s a sensitive subject for men but great that such a....manly man is raising awareness of it.

I’ve always been a fan of his. Very brave yo talk about a very sensitive subject so openly.

ghostyslovesheets · 19/12/2019 18:07

he's ace - his last (current?) live show covers the subject in depth - brilliantly funny and sad

vampirethriller · 19/12/2019 18:08

I love him

vampirethriller · 19/12/2019 18:10

Posted too soon! I love him and this is a really good thing.

He's brilliant. His tv series where he did different jobs was brilliant. This is a great thing he's done.

I saw him on his recent tour and it featured heavily. The way he talked about it was laugh out loud funny, but also quite heartbreaking. I thought that he was brave to be so open.

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 19/12/2019 18:32

Another one who saw his tour where he talked about this. DH and I are currently TTC and are about to go into our 13th month. When we saw him, it was a couple of months after our MC. He made me laugh about something that only made me cry up until that point. He’s brilliant!

chillykiwi · 19/12/2019 18:35

Good man.

Clymene · 19/12/2019 18:40

That is good. Years ago one of my friends drunkenly confessed to me that her failure to conceive was down to her husband's infertility, rather than hers. But because he was so ashamed, they lied and told everyone it was her. I was so sad for both of them Sad

yellowallpaper · 19/12/2019 19:09

Benjamin Zephaniah has also said he has male infertility and was in the radio discussing this with another man in the same situation. Very enlightening program

beautifulstranger101 · 19/12/2019 19:10

He's awesome. I still remember his comedy rant about electric toothbrushes and chuckle

DMCWelshcakes · 19/12/2019 19:11

He's brilliant. Book of John was a very moving show.

Gingernaut · 19/12/2019 19:12

I saw him in Rhyll.

Best thing about being in Rhyll, tbh.

Male infertility, strokes, TIAs and dementia - strange, funny and sad all at once.

There was a bucket collection for a dementia charity at the end of the show.

mondaywine · 19/12/2019 19:12

We saw his show last year when it was in development at the Edinburgh Fringe. A large part of that was about his experience of infertility and it was very moving. He is a great comedian but also a very shy man so it is very admirable that he is fronting a campaign like this.

Theluggagerules · 19/12/2019 19:25

Saw Book of John and laughed and cried throughout. Really good comedian and more importantly nice guy
