Should say the messages Iv had from colleagues and my line manager have been kind and supportive.

I’m also currently signed off, four weeks, sick note ends 12/01/20.

I work in the NHS and I’m off with stress and depression.

I feel similarly concerned about my return but what can they do really?! Absolutely nothing!

Would it help to have a chat with your line manager a day or two before you go back? They will want you to go back feeling positive and comfortable. Maybe if you arrange this now you will relax about your return a little.

After about five minutes everyone will have forgotten you were even away. Try to use your time off to de stress and find some coping mechanisms . It’s very much ok to do some nice things and look after yourself, not just hide at home in case someone sees you out.

I think it's natural. I always feel the same.

Thankyou for the comments . My fear is do the nhs use Bradford scales for time off .
I’m worried I will get a warning but that’s probably my anxiety .
I go back tomorrow so Iv left it to late for a chat

Not in the NHS but I was signed off earlier in the year for the same reasons. I think if you've had very supportive correspondence thus far, things will be okay when you go back. Your line manager should be focused on how they can support you going forwards, for your own well being and also to minimise risk of work contributing to your stress and needing more time off. Make sure to be kind to yourself for now. It will be hard going back but you can do it if you've got the right support.

Thankyou my son had a very serious car crash . It send my usually contained anxiety spiralling . They know about his crash . Just be glad when tomorrow is over
