to help me find a toy?

Posting for traffic- sorry!

DD1 loves pulling things out of packets and boxes - if she gets hold of a box of tissues or a pack of wet wipes etc she'll sit there for ages just pulling them all out one after the other until I catch her It reminds me of those long bits of different coloured fabrics that magicians pull out of hats Grin

It's a good activity for her as she can sit for ages doing it (giving me the opportunity to make a cuppa) but I don't want to waste tissues and wipes etc. Does anyone know of any toy like this?

Can you sew? This would be easy to make

Yes, I can’t remember what it’s called though! A ball with holes in that you stuff with bits of paper, fabric etc.

Lamaze used to do one, but that was about 15 years ago! They might do something similar?

Decorate an empty tissue box with brightly coloured fabric or paper. Cut and hem fabric square and fill the box.
The squares could be made out of recycled clothes, sheets or duvet covers and different textures.

Cut up an old sheet into baby wipe size squares, find a cardboard box, fill it with the cut up sheet, tape it up then cut a hole in it so she can get her hand in. She could be there ages and instead of just having time to make a cuppa u might even get the chance to drink it in peace while it's still hot Grin

Thanks guys!

I can sew but not very well, although I guess this should be simple enough. I have loads of old socks with holes in that I need to sort put, but they're in really cool animal patterned cloth - this could be the perfect use for them!

I'll have a look at the Lamaze one and see if I can find it too.
