Is definately a hands on, get stuck in, no knives and forks affair?

Hands on, all in.

VanyaHargreeves · 17/12/2019 16:58

Homecooked Pizza - knife and fork

Cutlery for me! But I know I'm weird Smile

WhatsNextMrsLandingham · 17/12/2019 16:58

Depends - eating out definitely knives and fork, at home definitely hands on with a tea towel tucked in my top to catch the fallout! Smile

WhoCaresWins01 · 17/12/2019 16:59

Pizza is finger food!

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 17/12/2019 17:00

Depends on the base for me

Deep pan, hands

Thin home made pizza, can’t be picked up without going everywhere in my opinion so knife and folk is needed

SocksOnTheBeach · 17/12/2019 17:00

Never ever ever knives and forks for pizza at home or out of the house.

I judge people who use knives and forks in restaurants for pizza (apart from cutting it into slices of course)

LoudBatPerson · 17/12/2019 17:03

I always use a knife and fork for pizza. I find it far too messy to east otherwise. I cannot stand the feeling of grease or stickiness on my hands or face, so there is very little I will eat without a knife and fork.

Pinkywoo · 17/12/2019 17:04

Hands for take away, cutlery for frozen or in a restaurant (much to the disgust of my Italian DH!).

Sirzy · 17/12/2019 17:05

I tend to use cutlery but I am well aware that’s one of my (very many!) oddities.

IncrediblySadToo · 17/12/2019 17:06

Hands.

If it’s a very thin base you just roll the tip up a bit.

Personally I think people look stupid & pretentious eating pizza with cutlery ‍🤷🏻‍♀️

SinglePringle · 17/12/2019 17:09

If you’re not supposed to use them, why do pizza restaurants give you cutlery?!

I judge people who don’t use cutlery in public.

ojo821 · 17/12/2019 17:09

YADNBU. Always use my hands!

troppibambini · 17/12/2019 17:10

Nope pizza always eaten with hands.
Even in restaurants.
It's the correct way to eat it.

SocksOnTheBeach · 17/12/2019 17:12

If you’re not supposed to use them, why do pizza restaurants give you cutlery?! To cut it into slices that you then eat with your hands.

I assume people who eat pizza with cutlery are trying to be dainty and proper... the type of people who leave the room to fart when it's only them and their DP at home.

SinglePringle · 17/12/2019 17:14

But if it was just to cut it into slices, surely they’d give you a pizza roller? Confused

I’d eat a thick crust take away by hand but always cutlery in a restaurant.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 17/12/2019 17:15

I use cutlery but I think I’m in the minority. Dh & the dc all eat it with their hands.

SocksOnTheBeach · 17/12/2019 17:18

They give you a knife/fork rather than a pizza roller because they know that if they just gave pizza rollers, there'd always be someone who just has to have a knife and fork.

Arthritica · 17/12/2019 17:19

It's hands all the way. Always.

ItsJustTheOneSwanActually · 17/12/2019 17:20

i usually start with cutlery but only because i have really sensitive teeth. Once it's cooled a bit i can pick it up and bite it

goodluckdontdie · 17/12/2019 17:29

In Pizza Express everyone uses cutlery.

I think if they serve it in slices, you eat with hands. If they serve it as one whole pizza, you eat with knife and fork.

But honestly I couldn't give a shit either way how someone else wants to do it.

SimonJT · 17/12/2019 17:29

Hand, but then the only thing I don’t eat with my hand is soup.

CaptainPovey · 17/12/2019 17:29

I use cutlery have done ever since braces in my mid thirties and my teeth became sensitive when I have the brace tightened

Habit now and I don't like messy hands

CaptainPovey · 17/12/2019 17:30

*had

Yetanotherwinter · 17/12/2019 17:35

Just hands all day.
