A lot of relationship threads here follow the same format: the OP mentions something unreasonable that her partner has done, and everyone piles in with aggressive attacks: he is a dick/terrible/a child, no idea why she's with him, she should leave him etc. It's never 'this particular behaviour is unreasonable', more a damnation of the person itself.
And then OP gets predictably defensive and, the more backstory she reveals, the more understandable the partner's perspective (surprise surprise).
Basically, I don't understand why people ask for relationship advice on here when there is very little nuance in the replies and most MNetters will just advise the person to leave their partner.
