Not wrapping Christmas presents?

Interested to know if IABU. SIL keeps buying presents for DS but not wrapping them. We're talking birthdays and Christmas here, not spontaneous gifts. She has them delivered to my house and I then have to wrap them up. She doesn't live nearby but there would be ways to get them to us wrapped (either by having them delivered to herself and wrapping them or by passing them along through MIL wrapped). The presents are always bought way ahead of time so there would be plenty of time for either option. AIBU and ungrateful or is this just lazy and annoying of her? FWIW I have a toddler, a newborn and before I went on mat leave I was working FT as was DH.

If she sends them like that, give them like that. Or just put them in a shop carrier bag.

Your toddler won’t care, is just interested in the present.

My brother and his wife and my sister and her husband do not have kids. They live 10-20 minutes away from me.

Every Birthday and Christmas they send me the money via bank transfer. I chose. Order and wrap the gifts. Most of the time unless they ask they do not know what they have bought.

My mum does the same too.

Every year we have at least one bin bag full of wrapping paper, our regular bin collection no longer has space to accommodate this as it has to fit into a tiny wheelie bin, collected fortnightly and we’re a household of 5 adults.

I think it’s a good thing. This year we’re using recycled gift bags and brown paper.

MIL does the same. I can’t get upset about wrapping a couple of extra presents tbh. How much is she sending?

Wouldnt bother me that much. She can probably get then delivered free to yours rather than paying to post then to you after wrapping then herself. How looking does it take you to wrap a couple of extra presents?

I always use bags so they can be recycled. But also, it just makes sense for her to order them for delivery to yours but maybe if she visits around the time she can wrap them then.
Most of my Xmas gifts have gone straight to my parents house and when we visited this weekend just gone I did a mass wrapping session but that’s not always been possible
