So .. we put an offer in on a house we saw recently, via email! .... NO response from estate agent! Not even an automated reply saying 'thanks for your email we'll get back to you' ... Nothing!
I thought maybe I'd sent the offer to the wrong email address, and found an alternative email address and re-sent the offer .... Still nothing!!
Fast forward 3 days and I decided to phone as I don't want to loose the house over potential mix up over the email address.
I asked 'did you get the offer I emailed (twice!)?' - 'yes' was the response!! I tried to ask if they'd had a chance to send it to the vendor yet etc.. but they seemed in a hurry to get off the phone!
This is the same estate agent who has failed to show up on one viewing we did, forgot the key on another viewing, and let us be shown round by the vendor (who didn't know we were coming) on a third.
AIBU to wonder what on Earth this estate agency actually does for all the money they receive? And to feel that if the sellers knew how shockingly bad they were, they'd put their house on with a different agent (we've had great experiences with some agencies recently - but you can't help who your dream house is on the market with unfortunately!!)
(still have no idea what's happening with the offer we made!)
