Really frustrated. Spent hours sorting out a Christmas delivery slot for my parents and one for myself. This year they are unable to come to us - 150 miles away as Dad needs to be near the hospital - he has been in 21 times already this year and daren’t go far. We have nine for Christmas dinner with kids and grandkids so need to be up here. Managed to convince them to have a finest Christmas dinner for two which could only be delivered on the 22nd or 23rd. Went on at midnight when the slots came out and the Tesco website completely crashed. It was 01:00 when I got them sorted out and then went and got my slot - just plonked in two of the Christmas dinners to hold the slot til the morning when I could go on and sort it further. Did that the next day - added all the other things we need and changed to the turkey we wanted and deleted the two holding slot Christmas dinners for two. Just went back on today to add a few extra things and found that the turkey has disappeared and the two Christmas dinner for twos have reappeared. I remember distinctly adding it, it’s on the list I went through and ticked and even remember it coming up still with £70 which was the price of the next size up (7kg) and thought ok that will work itself out as we had selected the 5kg. It now won’t let me change anything so got onto customer service and they can’t (or won’t) do anything either. It is too late to order a turkey (even though I had already ordered it!) as they closed the orders yesterday! They can at least take off the two Christmas dinners for two.... they have offered me a basic frozen turkey instead of the finest bronze turkey with sage and onion stuffing that was planned. So will now have to try and go out and find another one - and working right up to christmas! Oh the joys....
I thought this year was all sorted. Mind you did think that another year with Sainsbury’s - they forgot to deliver any of my meat Christmas Eve once - no turkey, ham, sausages or bacon so I suppose I at least have those - if they get delivered! AIBU to be pissed off?
