Stay awake and worry for silly reason

Flyingfish2019 · 13/12/2019 16:58

I‘ll stay awake and worry until midnight today for a silly reason (no... you really do not want to know it, it is very silly). Is there someone in the same position today who wants to chat now and then?

My plan is to stay awake until midnight.

You plan on staying awake especially so you can worry?

Flyingfish2019 · 13/12/2019 17:04

@Sazqatsch No, I a, worried about something... basically if a loved one is okay. It is a silly worry because of course he is... and at midnight I will learn he is okay... because this is when I will see him again...
I see that it makes no sense not to give more explanation. Basically a loved one struggles with anxiety and put himself in a situation he is fearful of and at midnight we talk.

Is he going to a Christmas party?

Flyingfish2019 · 13/12/2019 17:34

Actually yes, did not want to say it because it sounded to silly.

Not silly, I have a worry that keeps me up at night sometimes. It's a situation I can't really avoid and I mostly keep it to myself

Sirzy · 13/12/2019 17:36

It sounds like you both may need help with your anxiety? Try not to let yourselves feed off each other’s anxiety too much.

Tell him to phone or text if he has a problem and then try to rest at the time you normally would.

Flyingfish2019 · 13/12/2019 17:36

@Cheninblanc: Want to tell me what it is? Or want to talk about something totally different?

OrangeZog · 13/12/2019 17:37

I’m always awake worrying, so I will join you.

Flyingfish2019 · 13/12/2019 17:38

@Dirzy He has just infected me this time... and it won’t be happening so soon again. So it’s only about today.

It's very similar, but not the same. It's a bit outing publicy and it's ridiculous. I've tried meds, cbt, counselling and have come to the conclusion exposure therapy is the way fwd but I just fear that so much..... I'm the silly one!

Have to make supper for the children now but will be back.

Here I am again. Somebody there? Fell asleep tucking the kids into bed. He texted me a few times and seems to be doing fine.

I'm here. I can't settle tonight. Are your children good sleepers? Mine are usually ok but have their moments

Flyingfish2019 · 13/12/2019 23:08

Mine too. Typically the are good sleepers (has been different in the past) but only sometimes they aren’t.

Right now they are all asleep.

My son is still out after a school Christmas dinner today.
There are a lot of them over 18 and they made plans to have a few drinks after dinner.
Hopefully all will be ok

recklessruby · 13/12/2019 23:12

I m worried about my cat. I m probably not going to sleep well. I think she has the start of a UTI and i m calling the vet first thing tomorrow. I have awful anxiety too

Flyingfish2019 · 13/12/2019 23:14

They don’t drink and drive - do they? I think kids in that generation are smarter than us (milenials).

OP posts:
Flyingfish2019 · 13/12/2019 23:14

@recklessruby What is a UTI?

OP posts:
recklessruby · 13/12/2019 23:31

Urinary tract infection. My poor girl s in the litter tray on and off all the time Sad

Flyingfish2019 · 13/12/2019 23:33

I see. I think you are right to call the vegetarian tomorrow. Do they give antibiotics to a cat like they do with a human being?

OP posts:
recklessruby · 13/12/2019 23:41

Yes they will. Just hate the thought of her being in pain though she s not complaining

Flyingfish2019 · 13/12/2019 23:43

Yes, this thought sucks.
Sorry, my autocorrect changed veterinarian to vegetarian.
