I'm supposed to go for a hearing test at 9am but I've been up half.yhe night coughing and still am. Would you cancel? Apart from the obvious coughing through the test, I ate cancelling last minite but scared I'll have a coughing fit mid- test

Grab a packet of cough sweets and go!

Coughs are often worse at night. I'd take some throat sweets and go. Especially if it's an NHS one and someone else could have taken your place

I would personally get some cough linctus or soothers and go anyway. They might be able to do it. If you don't go it'll waste an appointment because it'll be too early to give to someone who is on cancellation list. If they can't do it at least you made the effort and they can see that

I’d go, just tell them you’ve got a cough. Take cough sweets and a drink to soothe your throat

I’d go, it’s just a cough.

If you've got a cold on top of the cough it'll completely skew the results. If it's just a cough, go.

For a cough? Christ no. Hmm

Get some broncho stop pastilles. They work like magic!

The only reason to cancel would be if the cough is part of a cold that might have affected your hearing. If not, take strepsils and a bottle of water.

Definitely go. It will cost the NHS more than hundred pounds for your missed appointment.

I've been coughing at night too but now I'm up and out it's eased off. Piping hot black tea helps and cavonia sweets are great
