I ordered lunch through Deliveroo. It said 25-35 mins. Every time the allotted time came around it moved back 10 mins. Then I noticed the driver wasn’t moving at all. So after an hour and a quarter I phoned them, they wouldn’t refund me (So I could get lunch elsewhere) but said they had allocated another driver and promised it would be with me in 10 mins.
Half an hour later the new driver hadn’t moved on the app. I phoned back and they just said ‘Yeah ok, we’ve cancelled the order bye.’ No apology or anything! I had no lunch as it was 2 hours later by this point.
AIBU to think if they can’t deliver lunch in 2 hours they should compensate me or at the very least apologise! I still have no idea what the issue was as they didn’t offer any explanation.
