Ask how to deal with this kids party problem

I have booked a party for DD in a soft play and just send out all invitations. Now I just realise that DD's classmate has a party on same date at same time. Obviously DD was not invited for her party so I don't realise until other mum reply saying they can't come because there is a clash.

I may have a situation no one or very few ppl will come. Any advice what I can do now?

Can you rearrange?

TheCatsPjammas · 10/12/2019 16:32

Can you reschedule? Or move party to different time on the same day. You may have less kids but as long as your child’s key friends are there it’ll be fine.

Or go old school and have a few close friends at home with party games. Kids will be more than happy with that.

I have send out invitations already. Not sure how to reschedule to any other day even if the venue allow me to change the date ( I paid deposits already). Any one experienced that? Send another one out saying that we need to reschedule?

Phone the venue and ask if they'll change the date/ timing. It's not in their interest to have a party with hardly anyone there, especially if it's per head.

Send out new invitations with the revised arrangements.

of course try to reschedule

if really not possible, make a list of "b-guest" that are not from the class

It happens!

I’d reschedule unless I was sure there was little crossover between the groups of friends.
