Placed an order with PLT this morning for some crap clothes for my DD for Christmas & like a raving idiot, I didn't check the delivery address before I confirmed the order.

I checked the confirmation email immediately & it's going to our old address in a different town that we haven't lived in for 8 years!!

Tried contacting PLT immediately, no way that I could see of speaking to a real human being, so WhatsApped & got told I couldn't change it!!!

Surely, it's not unreasonable to ask for the delivery address to be changed within 10 minutes of ordering?

I've had this before with Sports Direct - the order sticker or packing slip or whatever is generated immediately when you order and presumably whisked off to some giant warehouse somewhere, so it's impossible to track down. I was lucky, the people who got the order refused it so it was sent back - hopefully you'll be the same!

It’s a security thing. Scammers place orders then ask for addresses to be changed, I guess. Can you cancel the order and rebuy?

Crunchymum · 10/12/2019 13:18

Yes cancel and re-purchase.

Just been on their website & can't cancel or amend orders once placed!! 😭

By law you can if you've purchased online. Tell them you want to cancel.

halloumi2019 · 10/12/2019 14:21

DM them on Twitter, you’ll get a faster response. Or you can ask them for a phone number if you prefer.

If you mess around with their website contact page, you might be able to trigger a live chat

halloumi2019 · 10/12/2019 14:22

Or, wait for it to be dispatched and they might be able to ask their courier to return parcel to sender

WillowKnicks · 10/12/2019 18:28

I've had several unhelpful responses via WhatsApp & email. Never thought of Twitter!

I've had an email saying it's with the courier, so once it's in transit, I'll see if I can divert it

Thanks for the advise..
