Posting for traffic as off to paint shop after dropping dc off at school. I was set on painting my lounge ammonite which I have in my hallway and love but now wondering if I should go purbeck stone to contrast it a bit. Its a very light, large room. WWYD?

ammonite will read very pale in a very light room. Are you after an off white look or a grey?

Good point. Do you think ammonite would look too cold? Not sure about grey probably prefer a warm white. I'm so indecisiveConfused

Purbeck stone is definitely grey so if you don't want grey then I would say that's your decision made.

We have purbeck stone in the living room and am right now painting halls ammonite. Very happy with purbeck stone; it is quite a warm colour.
