To watch tv upstairs!

Whilst DH was in the bath I have just hung some Christmas lights in the hall. I finished almost as he came downstairs and I asked him what he fancied watching and mentioned a few programs we are watching together. He said the tv I wanted to watch was paused in the room (it was) and that I’d had my chance and he was going to watch a show he wanted to watch. So I’ve come upstairs in a huff and I’m watching tv on my iPad. This has really annoyed me as a couple of weeks ago we had a big talk about how we don’t really spend time together since having a baby (10 months ago) and how I do too much housework. So I’m really trying to do housework/other jobs while he’s busy so we actually have time together. He does have some shows that he watches on his own, which I don’t mind on in the background but I don’t really want to watch them while we’re just sitting together, and if I talk through them he’ll moan. I usually go up to bed at about 8:30 so he has some time to himself and so he can watch tv or play PS4 etc. I really don’t mind this as I need the sleep, but it’s really peed me off tonight that now I’m in bed! AIBU to be annoyed and to have stormed off?

Doesn’t your husband share the housework? Don’t the two of you share any activities apart from programme watching?

Get rid of the TV. There are so many other things you could be doing together.

arguing over t.v is a bit sad really, but i can understand him moaning if you talk through a programme.
