DH works away and we had his kids this weekend.

He had today off so after he took his kids back we had an “extra” night together last night and we had a few.

There was washing up in the kitchen and mess from (from a meal I cooked for us and his kids) and I did some baking.

I had to get up at 7 and go to work, he slept in until 11 and has now left to go back to work for the week.

He left a full dishwasher which needed unloading and loading again, both bins overflowing, pans which needed washing up, and the bedding from his kids beds that I washed yday still in the dryer for me to do when I got back from work at 5pm.

And to top it off he’s taken half the mince pies I made yesterday Sad

I always make sure everything is clean and tidy when he gets home I am really annoyed.

LTB or at least hit him with the frying pan! Grin
Bit of a CF there, put him on washing up duty for the rest of the week or get him to take you for dinner Flowers

He’s not back till Friday 😭😭😭

I’m not sure this should be lighthearted. That’s really disrespectful of him.

Iamnotagoddess · 09/12/2019 18:07

It’s not a regular occurrence.

Still, are you going to tell him how shit it was for him to leave the house like that?

Justblockthebitch · 09/12/2019 18:09

@Iamnotagoddess means you have plenty of time to practice your swing.
Make sure you have a clean plate to eat from and leave it for him to do when he gets back

Iamnotagoddess · 09/12/2019 18:09

I have already told him Smile

Poison the mince pies next time. Cheeky bastard.

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 09/12/2019 18:15

I defo wouldn't do the kids beds if they're not coming to stay till after he's back. It even if they are, teach them how to put it back on the beds themselves.

I had a mini strop this morning after I said to my husband 'there's loads of washing in the basket' and he answered 'i know' and then effed off to work! Because I work from home he just assumes I'll do it!

danmthatonestakentryanotheer · 09/12/2019 18:24

I can just about forgive the dishwasher but the mince pies????? That's divorce territory. Grin

Iamnotagoddess · 09/12/2019 18:30

@chocolatesaltyballs22.

YES! I have been saying this for some time, but they might melt.

He showed them how to use the washing machine, then never made them do it.

He showed them how to iron but spends about an hour ironing their uniform before they go home.
