Such click bait. Aibu is just politics and aibu votes at the moment Xmas Hmm

I don't see them. You can turn it off in your settings. I did the very first day this feature was implemented.

There are so ,many small things that could improve the interface here but I don't see this as being one of them.

Snuffkindle · 08/12/2019 15:49

Because it's a massive big deal? Yabu

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 08/12/2019 16:33

Errr maybe cos there’s an election looming and some people are enough about the country’s future to debate the best way for them to vote rather than just ignoring it all

puds11 · 08/12/2019 16:34

I think there’s an election coming up.

RedWineIsFabulous · 08/12/2019 16:36

Because Jeremy and Diane keep on creating them...

😂

rhubarbcrumbles · 08/12/2019 16:36

You might not have noticed but the UK has a general election in 4 days time.

A lot of people think that this is a big deal.

Regardless of their politics, I think it's good that people are discussing it, arguing about it and posting stuff about it because anything is better than being apathetic and complaining about it.

reginafelangee · 08/12/2019 16:40

There's a thing on Thursday about it all. Maybe that's got something to do with it.

Anniegetyourgun · 08/12/2019 18:22

Threads about politics just before a general election are fine. Threads with big fat VOTE buttons are the work of the devil. I make a point of not opening them, although I've been caught out by a few tempting titles in Trending, but shut the thread down as soon as I realised it had a button on it. I tell you what, it'll be glittery tickers next, or cartoon avatars. Avaunt!

Becuna · 08/12/2019 18:36

I might be wrong but I think the OP means a lot of threads have the voting option YABU/YANBU. I noticed today that most threads on the front page have the voting option.
I wasn't sure when the voting option first came out but I quite like it now. Normally there are loads of posts saying the same thing and I would not bother posting but with the vote I can say yea or nay without having to add to the repitition.

MuchBetterNow · 08/12/2019 18:41

The first page is all vote option threads, it's slightly irritating I agree.

Not sure why people are going on about the election, pretty sure that's not what the op meant.

Anniegetyourgun · 08/12/2019 20:02

OP did mention politics, to be fair.

DontFundHate · 08/12/2019 20:58

Oh oops I can see that's not clear.

Yes I meant the voting button!! All I can see are votes for yabu and yanbu

And then I said the politics thing which wasn't my main point, sorry to confuse!

My main bug bear is the button!

Clear as mud?!
