To ask what this is on my car?

I genuinely have no idea what it is and I'm worried. Anyone got a clue?

Pic 1 is where it was when I lifted the bonnet, pic 2 is it on its own. It's completely loose, no wires or clips etc suggesting it 'should' be attached.

Petrol vauxhall zafira if it makes any difference.

What does it look like from the side?

What does the underside look like? Is there a space for batteries or something like that?

Also, what happens when you push the button, does the light flash?

Sorry, this is a duplicate thread. Someone on the other thread has identified it as pest repellent device. Mystery solved.
