There seemed to be a supply problem in the SE earlier this year.

I was worried that Jamie Oliver had persuaded them to make it 'sugar free' and that the shelves would be restocked with that.

Thank goodness not.

Smelly50 · 08/12/2019 20:07

Apologies if I have cross post. I always get mine from sainsburys

B0bbin · 08/12/2019 20:43

It is defo best x

mysteryfairy · 08/12/2019 20:46

Usually available on Ocado - £1.99 - but I tend to stick up when it’s 2 for £3

chocolatespiders · 08/12/2019 21:21

I am going to get some for Christmas. I love lime and soda water at the pub! Thanks all.

tillytrotter1 · 08/12/2019 21:25

It's been available all Summer, the factory fire was sorted apparently. When it was not available the manager of a small Asda gave me a bottle of their own brand because I wouldn't know the difference! Oh. yes I did. Lime and soda is my favourite Summer drink.

PrettyPurpleFeather · 08/12/2019 21:26

Morrisons and Waitrose have it as well.

grafittiartist · 08/12/2019 21:28

Thank you! It's one of the only products that I need to have branded. So delicious!

francienolan · 08/12/2019 22:01

The fire in their factory was about 18 months ago--I'm not very proud of myself for this but I had a bit of a race down the aisle for the last bottle of tesco brand with an old lady and won.

I haven't had any issues finding it recently at Morrison's or Tesco but maybe I should stock up just in case haha.

GhostHoward · 08/12/2019 22:12

I used to drink Roses...then I found PLJ lime and it changed my life!! It's just lime juice, no sugar. Amazing stuff!!

AuntSpiker · 08/12/2019 22:20

Years ago my parents had a pub. They had a tray on the bar with squash on it. Any old orange squash (for gin and orange mainly Grin ) any blackcurrant squash (for rum and black and lager and black) and lime cordial {for lime and soda and lager and lime). But that always had to be Roses, no other make would do. Glad it's still around.

SamBeckett · 10/12/2019 22:49

@GhostHoward I have tried the PLJ lemon , it tasted a bit soapy /washing up liquidy to me but I did not know they did a lime version , I will have to have a look for that .

There was a shortage near us (Cambridge area) a few months back but thankfully shortlived and fine now. I bloody love it-it's the only one that will do!

SamBeckett · 10/12/2019 22:55

@AuntSpiker
LOL my dad worked in a pub when I was little , they had Britvic cordials normally there , there was uproar when the the land lord bought Schweppes instead cos it was cheaper . Grin

Britvic and Schweppes, that takes you back doesn't it. My parents also had a plastic pineapple ice holder on the bar. Happy days.

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 11/12/2019 11:47

It's 2 for £3 from Ocado at the moment. I just go some earlier this week. It's getting so hard to find drinks without artifical sweeteners in these days so I think the "decent" drinks sell out fast as a result.

FizzyIce · 11/12/2019 11:53

Saw it in bulk at Costco on Sunday

Sweetpea55 · 11/12/2019 17:03

I Remember the glass bottle had lovely leaves over the neck

msmith501 · 11/12/2019 17:04

NW too... just south of Preston in pretty village... no shortage 🤞

strongswans · 11/12/2019 17:07

I love it! Reminds me of my Nan as she always had it. Our Asda's always seems to have it in stock.

SamBeckett · 12/12/2019 01:09

I am glad it seems t be more widely available that I thought.
I was going to auction the bottles I have to pay for christmas

@AuntSpiker
Its amazing how small things trigger memories isnt it , we had a stone sink for the ice , it was great at keeping it cold but the condensation was a bugger it meant we always had to have a flattened crisp box under it to soak up the water
