Multi story bad parking

Came back to the Peugeot parked like this Xmas Angry couldn’t get my car door opened and had to climb in from the passenger side and now my sciatica is playing up. AIBU to expect considerate parking from someone with a car clearly small enough to fit properly in the space? Can’t believe I’m this angry on a Sunday morning 😩😩

No people are c*nts.

Last in JL woman comes in as I’m driving out 7pm, loads of spaces drives into first available space - a disabled. There was a free normal space a metre away Angry

YANBU.
I has to ask a very thin man (complete stranger) to reverse my car out of a spot when someone did this to me once!
Poor bloke only happened to be walking by and even he struggled to get in.

Driver is probably a twat but it is just possible that it wasn't their fault.

I have, on occasion, parked like that because it was the only available space and the person in the next space was parked over my line on the other side and the person next to them was also parked over.

Somewhere, along the line, someone has definitely been a twat but not necessarily the one that is parked like that now.

Ghostoast · 08/12/2019 12:08

No, you can't just park in a space like a twat because the person next to that space is parked like a twat. If you can't park within the lines you don't park there. Last space or not. Because what happens if the person you are close to can't get in? I am disabled and this happened at our hospital on a Sunday and nobody could find the owner of the car, I was stuck there for 6 hours with 3 small children, one autistic. Utter twat.

I wouldn’t had more sympathy if this might’ve been the case but if you see the sporty car parked behind it (nicely in the lines) all that’s next to this particular parking space is a post and if you park correctly it doesn’t impinge on you opening your door at all) it’s my preferred space as I’m always guaranteed to be able to get back in! Grin but it was taken by a different car when I was parking earlier.

ghostoast that’s absolute awful, I’m so sorry. That’s ridiculously inconsiderate, especially at a hospital as well. Did they turn up in the end?

Yanbu people are arseholes. Someone did this to me when i was 7 months pregnant and a passing family thankfully drove my car out for me. They also gave the returning man a scathing comment as i lowered myself into the car. I was surprised how quickly he apologised! Must have been the fact the husband was built like The Rock!

CuriousaboutSamphire · 08/12/2019 12:55

Ah! That looks like a certain Dock complex... I got stuck in a similar situation mid week. Some people just don't think.

I pointed out the issue to the driver when he returned: I couldn't get in, my ticket was void as I had overstayed the drive out time, he could have parked between the lines... his response? "Fuck off you stupid cunt"

Wish I'd had some fish paste, sellotape, anything....

Sexykitten2005 · 08/12/2019 13:46

It’s not right but I always give them a little ding when they park like that. I’m average sized. If I had to press my door into theirs to squeeze in then that’s what I had to do. Wether I ended up having to go in passenger side or get help I always have to start with trying the passenger door
