AIBU?
To expose Boris Johnson’s racism

I’ve never started a thread about politics before and was a floating voter until recently.
This dossier exposes disgusting bigotry - black people, Asian people, women, gay people - by the man we could be about to elect as Prime Minister.
Why isn’t this on the front page of every newspaper today?
AIBU to ask you to share this widely as the mainstream media is not doing its job.

Unfortunately, he says what more people than I care to think about actually think themselves. Regardless of which side of the Brexit debate you stand on, the leave vote did something to normalise some previously unspoken prejudice and attitudes. I work in a school with a high percentage of Polish children and I can’t tell you the previously unheard of shit they’ve had to deal with in recent years. Boris is just echoing what a lot of people believe anyway. You don’t need to expose it, it’s clear as day. Too many people agree.

As a Private Eye reader, I’ve seen it reported on for years
He's been a renowned shit ever since I can remember.
Someone I know temped at the Telegraph during his tenure. He was renowned for being "handy" and she was warned never to get in a taxi with him.
When even someone as establishment as Dominic Lawson (Eton, Oxford, father a Tory chancellor, married to a viscount's daughter) describes him as "entitled", you know that Boris will think he has the right to do pretty much anything he wants, whether it's fucking a secretary or fucking the whole country.

There was a former BBC reporter Guto Hari on the radio yesterday describing Boris Johnson as a wonderful person with a deep love for other human beings. Not one person on the panel challenged him or mentioned any of these hateful comments. You couldn’t make it up.
We’re being lied to.

This is just from page 1. Can you even imagine what would happen if Corbyn had written even one of these things?
I don’t think Corbyn is a perfect candidate by any means, but how can anyone even consider supporting this man to lead our country? He’s disgusting.

It’s only racism if you’re leader of the opposition.
From Mr Johnson it’s deliberate shock tactics from when he was employed to do so.
Such double standards.
Of course the fact that various people have criticised the Tory party for systemic Islamaphobia doesn’t matter. Islamaphobia is accepted bigotry.

A few people on MN have said they can’t vote labour due to anti-semitism so they’re voting for tory.
I have asked them why it’s okay to vote for homophobia, sexism, racism and islamophobia but it isn’t okay to vote for anti-semitism. Oddly enough none of them provided an answer!

How anyone who has turned away from Labour because of anti-Semitism could then vote Tory and for a leader who has spouted years of racist bile is a mystery. The power of the right-wing press, with the BBC letting them set the agenda.
I hope the Equality and Human Rights Commission will investigate Boris Johnson fully as part of their inquiry into Islamophobia in the Conservative Party.

The problem with these ‘revelations’ is that they’re hardly a surprise to lots of us ... but then we were never going to vote Tory anyway. Our problem is that we can’t in good conscience vote Labour and are genuinely horrified by what’s happened to the party we’ve always supported.
