Want to TTC again

Almost 35 with a 7 mo baby through an EMCS. Returning to work in the Spring. Need to save to move to bigger house as currently living in small house in London.

Only stopped breastfeeding recently.

I’m becoming obsessed about wanting to start TTC for a second - even though head says I should wait to regain health (especially as EMCS), save finances, rebuild career and move house.

But my heart doesn’t listen. I want to be pregnant again and complete my family. I can’t think about anything else

Well...about ten months after having both my babies, I became insanely broody (sorry MN, I know you all hate that word!). I would wait a little while, just in case it is the hormones talking!

Try to think this through carefully. Do you want to go back to work... in which case is it best to wait till oldest gets their free nursery hours at 3? Paying for two lots of childcare fees is tough.

Also, it may be very hard being heavily pregnant with a wobbly walker who needs watching all the time. And for sleeping do you have enough space for two without moving?

How long did it take you to conceive last time? At 37 I conceived on the first cycle - even after 35 it can be very fast. Don’t assume it will take ages!

Normal - I got crazy hormonal for another baby until mine were over 1. Plus the longer you leave it the stronger the uterine scar gets so may be better for your body to wait a year or so before trying
