Aibu to use TCP after tooth removal?

Hi I had a back tooth removed on Wednesday and I'm currently awake in pain with it. I also have a wierd taste in my mouth. I've been doing salt baths regularly. The hole looks covered (hopefully not the beginning of dry socket!) In a light/yellow scab. It's quite swollen too.

Can i use diluted TCP on it? It's my eldests bday today and supposed to be going out for lunch plus I'm manic at work atm and really really don't want it to become infected? Help me please 😭😭😭

I’d stick with warm salt water and ibuprofen. If it does get infected won’t you need antibiotics in any case? Not sure TCP would be enough.

I had braces as a child and had five teeth removed. I gargled with TCP. I hope the pain gets better lovely and it's not a dry socket or infection, it's the worst pain I've ever been through.
