Spoiler: Lighthearted, I am DEFINITELY being unreasonable.

But DP‘s family bought us a gift to go and see a performance at a town two hours away (so a four hour round journey) on a Thursday evening. We live in a major city which is not short of cultural attractions and entertainment. It is costing £40+ for travel. It was lovely of them and they’re awesome, much loved family, and the gift itself was very generous of them. But why?!?!?! 😂😂😂

Oh dear. That's more of a chore than a gift! And on a Thursday? I'm sure they meant well, but jeeeez...

I'm sure you'll enjoy it when you're there but can totally understand that 4 hours in a car is not what you want on a dark and cold Thursday night

readingismycardio can’t sell tickets, just arrived in said town and found a cafe.

Partner arrives in about an hour from work so I’m settled in with a cup of tea and some cake. We will have fun and quite like liking it now I’m here Quite a cosy little place!

It’s not their home town and we’ve no connection with the place so no idea where the idea came from. I was a bit stressed as I had work to do but
