To get my dad a Christmas present?

My dad is the most annoying person to buy for.
Every year I ask what he wants and he just says socks and a new cap.
Anyway we were in m&s the other week and he seen a jumper he liked but it was £45 (and my dad is a massive charity shop shopper ) so wouldn't buy it.
Anyway I said "il get you it for Christmas " and he said no I'm happy with the socks and cap and stopped me buying it.
Should I buy him it?
He's quite a stubborn man and don't want to upset him.
Would you buy the jumper?

I’d buy it

Yes, get it.

But also, it's M&S, so keep the receipt and if he really makes a fuss, he can take it back and change it for socks, a cap and whatever else he wants.
