Wifi everywhere? Built in mobile internet in everything?

kitk · 04/12/2019 20:41

Data on phones is now so much cheaper that I can't understand why anyone would bother with a dongle that gave 30 mins of really shit internet for a tenner

Comefromaway · 04/12/2019 20:41

We had a dongle at work last year for one of the engineers to use his laptop Inn tje building site cabin.

Most mobile phones can create a wifi hotspot/network using your cellular connection.

Dutch1e · 04/12/2019 20:44

I think because your mobile also functions as a Wifi hotspot for your laptop or other devices that the dongle is going the way of the beeper.

Pollaidh · 04/12/2019 20:45

You can just tether now, and mobile phone plans have insane amounts of data for fairly little money. Plus there's wifi everywhere.
