Armpit pain - freaking myself out.

Hi. This is so stupid of me to post as I don’t know why I’m so worried. Recently when I shave my armpits I get bad pain and have to be really gentle. They feel sort of lumpy and sensitive, like when you have swollen lymph nodes on your jaw - that feeling but on my armpits. Am I being daft or should I go to doctors?

So sorry I sound ridiculous.

Go to the doctor, if nothing else they will put your mind at rest..

Are they red or inflamed? Could be follicular a lot depends on your age if older than 50 I would get it checked if not try leaving it for a week or so without shaving.

No they look fine!! I’m only 22 but this has been about the last 2 weeks which is why it’s stressing me out haha

It's probably an infection somewhere but make an appointment with your GP for clarification

I would stop shaving for a while try alternative for removing hair if needed. You say it only hurts when you shave so unlikely to be an infection.

I had this. I had recently changed from spray to rollon deorant and also got a new bra that did feel a bit uncomfortable. Gone back to spray and dont wear bra and tons better. I do have regular mammograms though as older and that come back clear.
