To ask about experiencing 'no good deed goes unpunished' type luck...

It got me thinking as last month when out for a meal with friends (chain restaurant if that makes a different) we got significantly under charged. I oowned up and was honest, and we paid the rest of the bill in full. A week later my car gets stolen and I'm a grand out of pocket.

I remember telling someone at work this, for them to say 'no good deed goes unpunished'. Has this ever happened to anyone before?

Well (clears throat ), as my user name suggests yes! Would be outing to list the ways but yes !

Haha!! Dont worry if its outing, I'm just glad it's not just me experiencing this recently

I didn’t think it was to do with luck but more that the person you helped didn’t want your assistance and it backfires on you?

That sounds like two unrelated incidents not a good deed that was punished?
