FUCK! interview tomorrow

I have my first interview in 16 years tomorrow. First external interview in 16 years I mean. I've only ever had internal interviews in that time.

Need to deliver a presentation. Had to send over presentation by this morning at the latest. I have also printed off the slides to take with me and hand out etc.

Except I got the company name wrong. FUUUUUUCK.

Lets imagine they are called "childcare services anytown". I have called them "child services anytown"

Is that a major issue? Will this put them off me?

Its too late to resend the presentation, the deadline was this morning to send it.

I also don't have access to a printer now and the interview is tomorrow morning.

I've ruined it before I've even walked in haven't I?

I've been so distracted lately (on long term sick), DD studying for a test and upset about it, DH having problems with his own work now.

How can I save this situation?

Don’t worry! It’s a minor detail, as long as your presentation is good I’m sure no one will remember that.

Make sure you say it right when you say it out loud though.

Well it's done now. I'd own it up tomorrow and mention it before they do but dont explain it too much. Something along the lines of "apologies for the slight typo in your company name. Now, I'm here today to talk about.....". Mention it but dont dwell on it. Move onto the actual topic of the conversation.

We all make mistakes, even on important thing. Happens.

Let them remeber you for the right reason so be extra prepare for the actual topic of your presentation

Good luck!

Ask At the end of your presentation, if anyone spotted your purposeful error.

Imply it was just for fun? Or “that brings me to the end of my presentation. Thank you for listening. I do have a packet of biscuits for anyone who managed to spot the error on the first slides?”

It depends on your role if that would work.

Coffee idea far better than mine!

I would apologise for it upfront, then move seamlessly and swiftly on.

Thank you everyone. DH is saying to use it if they ask "what is your greatest weakness" as a bit of humour....
