Self help books (returning to work)?

I’m soon returning to work after maternity leave. I feel quite daunted by the prospect. Never really read anything like this but I feel like I need to read something that’s going to help me stay on top of everything without getting overly stressed. Anyone read anything that’s been useful?

I don’t know if there is a book but my practical advice is:-

  1. lower your standards - good enough is good enough (it’s fine to buy cakes for the cake sale etc)

  2. Everything goes on a calendar or a timetable so you don’t become the family memory bank

  3. Have a capsule wardrobe for you and the DC. I had a set of nursery clothes for the DC so I knew what they were wearing each day and it didn’t matter if it got trashed eventually.

  4. Cut your self some slack.

You will be fine.

PM me your address and I’ll send you this (as long as it’s still in the charity shop bag upstairs)
