Argos delivery

I ordered a new cooker on the 11th of November, it was due to be delivered on the 29th, however it just never came. I called Argos who were useless and said they have no idea why it didn’t show up and that they will get the company that is delivering it to call me. The next day no phone call. I thought it wasn’t good enough so called back to be told it was delayed due to Black Friday? Confused yet I bought it on the 11th, so they rearranged deliver for today and again it hasn’t showed up?! I don’t know what to do now as I haven’t got money to order from anywhere else and I’ve waited in two days for it! Has anyone else had trouble with Argos deliveries recently?

That's annoying. I would be giving them some grief on their Twitter if it were me. Sometimes that can get a quicker response.

I know someone who ordered all her babies furniture from Argos that also never showed twice. The explanations were piss poor as well. Eventually she was told it had been discontinued and she get a refund.
Ask for a refund and go elsewhere.

I’ve used a relatives argos card as can’t afford to pay for one upfront. So can’t go elsewhere. How annoying Sad needed it for Xmas as mines broke. So not like I’m not in a rush 🙄

That is annoying. I would call them again and ask when delivery will actually be, and that you’d like to raise a complaint

Had the same problems with a dishwasher when it finally turned up (a week later) it was installed incorrectly by the company. Argos washed their hands of it, were very aggressive, no compensation, no apology.

I think argos delivery customer service (not in store) are awful. Puts me off ordering deliveries from them.

Yeh they were useless when I called, couldn’t tell me anything even yesterday she promised it would be here today!! Waited in all day for nothing once again. There customer service is pretty rubbish

My experience of argos has always been first rate
You might just have incompetent drivers maybe

I work for Argos. Even in-store we have items missing on deliveries and it just tells us incomplete on the system. No explanation why or what is happening or when the item will be in for a customer.

Customer services I agree are not the best. They regularly give customers the wrong information.

I would suggest going into your local store and seeing if they can look on the system or ring 2 man home delivery for you. Maybe ask to speak to the store manager or the trading manager.

I apologise to you as a representative for Argos .

No it’s definitely not the drivers hazell42 Argos told me that it would be delivered on Sunday, when it didn’t show again (second time that was) I was told by Argos I was “misinformed” and that it wouldn’t have been delivered on Sunday as the company don’t work on sundays! I was then told I would hear something back within 24 hours and haven’t. So I don’t think that’s just down to the drivers. Meanwhile I’m without a cooker and 4 kids to feed! It’s not like it’s free either, they are not doing me a favour.
