And does it "outside", does he actually go outside or does he do what mine does and stands just in the doorway, therefore leaving the doors wide open and letting all the heat out and the cold in? I've asked him several times to actually close the door behind him but he refuses and doesn't care everybody else is getting cold.

Wouldn’t have DH or a DP that smokes. So no you’re definitely not being unreasonable. The smoke must come in as well as the cold.

The few smokers I socialise with go out and shut the door behind them, because they aren't twats.

Dh vapes but I still make him do it outside because vapes stink. He does go outside properly and shuts the door behind him. Why does your DH refuse?

Outside, door closed. 1, we don't pay to heat the garden and 2, why bother going outside if you're just going to let the smoke in the house.

Luckily my partner is a stereotypical tight Yorkshire man who does not believe in wasting money so it's easy for us.

My DH knows I hate it. He goes to the end of the road usually so I don't even have to look at him smoking/DC don't see him smoking. He then goes and uses mouthwash. The smell still lingers though.

If he smoked outside the front door without even closing it, I'd go spare. Incredibly selfish, especially with DC around.
