Ok stay with me for this.
I stuck £50 cash in an envelopes.
I gave one to A and one too B. Said here is your Xmas presents early.
A and B swap envelopes.
A and B then hand me back the envelopes...
I then thanked then for my Xmas gifts and asked if they were happy as that was Xmas done....
The way I see it we all got £100 in Xmas cash....LOL.

Borris · 30/11/2019 22:52

You’re £100 better off according to Nicky Morgan 🙂

MistyCloud · 30/11/2019 22:52

@mummmy2017 I don't get it.

Bunnybigears · 30/11/2019 22:52

Wow I best Christmas day is fun in your house.

PurpleFlower1983 · 30/11/2019 22:53

I get it but I don’t see the point.

Wildorchidz · 30/11/2019 22:55

It’s not December yet....

AnneLovesGilbert · 30/11/2019 22:56

People are bored tonight

There is some balmy stuff doing the rounds.

22Giraffes · 30/11/2019 22:57

And you all lived happily ever after?

Bellasblankexpression · 30/11/2019 22:58

Erm okay then

Sn0tnose · 30/11/2019 22:59

Well if your and their idea of exchanging gifts is you giving them £50 of your money and them giving you £50 of their money, then you’re all set.

If you can’t be arsed to choose and wrap a gift you think they’d like, wouldn’t it be easier just to suggest knocking presents on the head? You wouldn’t even have to go to the cash point then.

PinkiOcelot · 30/11/2019 22:59

You been at the sherry?

ConfCall · 30/11/2019 23:06

Reminds me of ex MIL who exchanged a tin of Roses with her neighbour every Christmas. What’s the point!?

Hopefloatsaway · 30/11/2019 23:08

Sounds perfect to me. No more of the usual Christmas tat that passes about.

busybarbara · 30/11/2019 23:09

The point is that all three people gave each other £50 for Christmas

MatildaTheCat · 30/11/2019 23:10

I get it. You all agree to spend £50, possibly dictating precisely what you wish to receive and then hand said gifts over.

The very spirit of Christmas. Hmm

I dream of hacking Xmas presents this way one day! Until the small person gets bigger I can’t see it happening!

Brilliant move, I say. Giving people the gift of extra time to themselves, and taking away the stress of choosing gifts (usually tat you don’t need) is the way forward.

Count me on your team, as long as you aren’t doing away with the Xmas tale groaning wth treats on the 25th? Sharing food is what makes Xmas fun for me!

tillytrotter1 · 30/11/2019 23:13

Perfectly demonstrates the pointlessness of giving for the sake of giving. There used to be a story doing the rounds about a man giving Man A a hundred pounds, A then uses it to pay his debt to B, B pays his debt to C and so on, Z uses it to pay the original man. No-one is now in debt.

lottiegarbanzo · 30/11/2019 23:13

Brilliant! Grin

Hopefloatsaway · 30/11/2019 23:15

The very spirit of Christmas. hmm
Sadly Christmas has become so commercialised and consumerised that people only associate the spirit of Christmas with gift giving.
I’d rather have no gifts at at . Doesn’t mean I’ve no Christmas spirit.
