To do my spring cleaning today?

Omg. So satisfying. Only thing is I now have a ton of bedcovers and have to somehow get everything dried. Feels great though!

Nope I do the same - we have two big cleaning weekends every year. In our house it is the first weekend of June and the other is the first weekend of December.

I do it at these times because DDs birthday is summer and so summer and Christmas are the times when we get so much stuff into the house, as well as having more visitors. We use it for a big deep clean of the house before the decorations go up, cleaning all the blankets etc as well as getting rid of clutter/broken toys/toys DD no longer plays with going to charity etc to make room for all the presents that will be coming in.

YANBU I always do a big clean this time of year, I don’t do it all in one day, but go room to room and bag up stuff for the tip or charity depending on the state it’s in. I also feel like I need to do a big clean in the living room before the tree goes up

Yes. That's exactly how I feel.

I love decluttering. It makes keeping the house tidy the rest of the year so, so much easier.
