Didn't actually have a clue what topic to put this under..
A few weeks ago a man kept knocking on my door and I didn't answer because I'm a moody cow and don't like answering the door to Random's..
So anyway the man knocked on my door again yesterday and I was expecting parcels so answered the door unaware it was this man from the other week.. He then asks me if I want the old fridge freezer which is down the side of my house (it's been there about a month, hadn't got round to taking it the tip.. terrible, I know)
I told him it's broke and was going to take it to the tip.. He then says no worries he will take it for me. He was in a small car so I was unsure how he was going to get it in there and also carry it but thought brilliant, saves me a trip so I thanked him and that was that.. He was there for a while so my DP went out to see if he needed a hand only to find him removing the gas canisters.. The man said he was fine and only wanted the canisters.. He took the canisters and left.. He hasn't been back for the fridge freezer or anything.. We had left the fridge freezer on the drive a few weeks back hoping a scrap man would take them only to find that none of them would because they have to be degassed.. So what would he need these for??? I just thought it was really random and I'm intrigued..

Well he's done you a favour as he has 'degassed' them hasn't he? So you can get someone to take them away.. result! But I too am now intrigued heads off to google fridge gas canisters

Can't gas canisters be returned to the company for a fee?

I have looked on google and couldn't find anything that would be a solid reason to take them.. I've mentioned it to a few people in person who are also baffled as to why he would want them..

Maybe to replace damaged ones on his fridge?

Do your council do a bulky waste pick up service? Where I live they’ll come and collect 3 items 3 times a year for nothing.I wish some of the people where I live would use it.
