Water bottles for children

No idea what topic would be best for this so posting here for a good chance of replies.

I'm wanting to find a good water bottle that doesn't taint the water for my 4 yo ds. He's a major fidget at night and works his pillow over onto the bedside table and knocks over his water glass. At the moment he's got a soppy cup purely as it won't spill but I'd like something more grown up. I don't like ones with straws as they are awful to clean. He usually does wake up and have a drink during the night so needs something. He's had sistema ones for school but they taint the water. It only needs to be small as only for overnight.

Camelbak are the best, though rather expensive. My son has had his for 3 1/2 years and it's still good, and doesn't leak, even if you turn it upside down.

You can take the straw off to wash it (and the other components) in the dishwasher, or get a special cleaning brush.

Try the Contigo Autoseal bottles. They close automatically and I haven’t noticed any effect on the bottle contents.

I bought a glow in the dark cup from Sainsbury's about 6 monrhs ago. It has unicorns on and looks like an adult coffee cup. My dd is 4 and can open and close it to drink in the night. Its been brilliant. Doesn't spill. She does ask for the water to be changed daily as she says otherwise it smells mouldy but that's ok with me. It's been so much better than the sippy cups/ sisyema bottles I was using before

I just bought my son a Frugi Splish Splash stainless steel drinking bottle and it’s great. Doesn’t leak, does have a flip top with removable straw, but that can be cleaned with a straw brush. Lots of cute designs too.
