Plaque disclosing tablets

Has anyone ever used plaque disclosing tablets on their kids? What were your experiences? And does anyone know where to find them that isn't online? My ds is 4 and I've heard you can use these to make sure they're brushing their teeth right?

Most pharmacies will sell them. What has your dentist said?

You can buy them in Boots - I'm sure other chemists are available!
We use them every couple of months. DD loves her blue mouth (teeth are ok but it shows where she is misding).

You can normally get them at dental practices. The one in our village gives them out when they go in to the primary school during assembly a couple of times a year. They’re always extra keen to brush their teeth that night & then see how well they’ve done/ the bits they’ve missed.

Most chemists sell them.

I first used them in 1969. We were given them at school, after morning break when we had milk and optional biscuits (2 Jammy Dodgers for a halfpenny).

You'd line up in the loos, crunching your pink sweetie, toothbrush on hand. The screams of delight when you got to the mirror. And the very serious task of getting rid of very last little bit of it Grin

I still clean my teeth in much the same serious and determined way!

Are these the ones that turn red or blue?

If so, when I was small I fed some to my brother and he threw up very colourfully in church. Not useful information but my only real memory of the things😂

I put them in DCs stocking along with toothpaste and a new toothbrush (last year we got fancy with electric ones, my dentist has sonicare on a really good offer). Clean the sink after using them because they can stain a bit if you don't and be careful with your towels but my DCs think them great.

I used them with my DD when she was small. They really helped her to learn to brush properly
