My granite hearth is looking really dull and marked after several years of use. I read an old thread on Mumsnet that advised cleaning it with WD40 can bring out the shine - but isn’t WD40 highly flammable? We have a working fire that is used fairly regularly so I’m a bit nervous. If I’m just wiping a bit on the hearth to shine it will that be ok?
