To go out for the day ?

We are a few weeks away from moving into our fully renovated house .. the project is behind but we have to move in regardless. This weekend I'm out all day at something organised and tickets brought long before the renovations even started. Would IBU to go ? Relatives will be at the house helping to rush the work through- they have been helping out throughout - while I am out.

Of course not. Surely people don't stay home 24/7 while work is being done? Or have I misunderstood?

@celebelly - my DH will be at the house with my PIL frantically trying to get the house ready in time ... while I'm out all day enjoying myself. Would it be wrong of me to go ? If I don't go i will be massively letting a friend down who has organised the event and is really looking forward to it

Oh I see! I'm sure he'll be fine; you've had this arranged for ages and would be letting someone down not to go. Go and enjoy!

It sounds like you could benefit from a break in all the stress - go and have a great time.

@mamaweasel - ah thanks.... I've done all of the coordinating with builders/booking stuff/arranging deliveries/making payments and some painting ....but still feel guilty for a day out at this crucial stage. I have a mentally ill DH who I have to manage and 2 SEN sons. I am mentally exhausted !

I'm the mentally ill one in our house, and I fully recognise that my hubby needs time sometimes to de-stress himself....... I am sure your hubby won't mind you having a jolly ☺
