Next apt isn't until week before Xmas.
Currently 31 weeKs.

I had mw 2 weeks ago.. The day before my DF was diagnosed with another blood clot. This is now I belive his 4th or 5th.

When mentioned before on the family history part. The mw checked with consultant and there were no concerns as all a few yrs ago and were related to an injury.
That was up until 2 weeks ago when out of the blue he got another in his leg.. He's very active.
I also have varicose veins as does he and my mother

I was going to mention it after she did the dopler at my last appointment . But during the dopler part the baby's heartbeat kept dropping..so was sent for a trace.. Luckily all was good thankfully.

With all that I completely forgot about mentioning it as was trying to sort childcare and school run whislt builders were at home and my mum was there with youngest but was due to go to work.

Then the past 2 weeks we've had builders in and out, things going wrong and all sorts thats been very stressful and I forgot to contact her to see if it was needed to be noted down

So now at 1.30 am. It's just dawned on me.. That maybe I should let her know. Or do I wait the 4 weeks till next apt?

Drop her a text OP. At least then your MW can decide what to do ( if anything ) with the info. Take care.

Let her know. Also has your dad been tested for polycythaemia? My dad had multiple clots a couple of years before he was diagnosed, he’s been on treatment for five years and is doing well and has had no more clots.

I have no idea?
His first one was definitely a result of a bad accident he had and being in cast so long.
Then the following few were a couple of yrs after but they said could be due to lack of mobility du to his accident

This one is out of the blue. Approx 3 yrs after the last one He's now very active, walks miles and miles for work a day etc.

He now has a medication for life as far as I know.

If you want to wait thats fine (if you want to contact too thats ok) as it's related to the POSTNATAL care - it wouldn't change the pregnancy care plan

In general though don't text the midwife ring instead as you don't know the text has been received (or if they have said you can text if you don't receive a reply within a period of time ring - if my phone is off I won't get a text till I turn it on - which may not be for 2 weeks if I'm off
