To be so pissed off at this silly woman?

I was going on a train in Manchester Piccadilly last Friday afternoon. It was quite busy on the platform and after the train pulled in and the doors opened, the few people stood infront of me waited a few seconds for people to get off but it was obvious no one was there to get off so they started to get on the train but there were people getting off, fair enough, the people infront of me apologised and let the people off. Everyone was happy. We people getting on could not see all down the corridor coz this lady was stood right in the way with tons of luggage.

Then this other woman appears coming down the gangway to get off, I move back off the train, smiled at her, but she barges into me and says very loudly "It used to be that people let others get off before they got on. Obviously manners have dissapeared with some people"......I was soooo pissed off it almost spoiled my holiday but I've calmed down now! AIBU?

No - she should have been at the door ready to get off.

You aren't being unreasonable. Travelling just puts some people in a foul mood I think. She just needed to take it out on someone, and unfortunately you were there. Don't worry about it.

Yanbu. How can she comment on peoples manners when she's lacking any herself
I smile at people like that, and say something like " oh, you're welcome. Think nothing of it." I say that when people don't say thanks- it makes me feel better
