Location advice! Weybridge - Cobham

Hi Mums!

My family and I are looking to move to a leafy suburb from the concrete jungle of London and I wanted to see if anyone could help.
I have a 1 year old boy so looking for good schools, lots of parks and play centres and a general family network feel.
We were looking at weybridge but am slightly concerned about the busy traffic and not sure how much family community is there.

Ideally we would like a good train commute to London and a nice high street and a river walk.

Any advice would be highly appreciated!

You might want to try posting on regional or local boards rather than AIBU.

If you want good connections to London they weybridge is the place to go. Great local schools, very highly rated (e.g. at George's) and great community atmosphere

Almost anywhere inside the M25 will have busy traffic. As well as a lot of places outside. HTH.

Something to bear in mind with Cobham is that the station is a good 20 min-half hour walk from the closest end of the actual village. The station is actually in the village of Stoke D’abernon.

It is a lovely place to live but that puts some people off.

Guildford has excellent schools, a river walk and a really pretty high street. And it’s 40 minutes into Waterloo. It does have busy traffic though but tbh everywhere in the South East does!
