I have worked shifts (nursing) for 13 years. This year I got a new job which is 9-5 Mon-Fri and I don't have to work Christmas! I'm overly excited! AIBU? Kudos to all you guys still taking a shitty shift on Christmas Day or 1st January xxx

Yanbu! 🥳

EL8888 · 18/11/2019 00:03

Totally not unreasonable. I for once don’t have a nursing shift either. Partner and l are off 25th, 26th and 27th

I actually find myself looking at Markies food! I've never done that before! I'm well excited!!! 🤣

I am getting excited too. I have to work Christmas day only 4 hours 10 until 2pm. Ill be with the DC in the morning, plus it is excusing me from the big family meal.

imcold · 18/11/2019 00:13

@Emeraldshamrock hope you have a great Christmas despite having to work xx

Also a nurse working nights over Christmas,DD going to her dad's so can't be arsed to cook much especially as there will be no wine!

imcold · 18/11/2019 00:16

Sorry @Thehagonthehill ☹️ I do really get how bad it is to work on Christmas 😩😩

It's a bit grim as I have no family near so just me and the cats.

NettyGubbins · 18/11/2019 01:48

YANBU!

For years I worked either 24th/25th/26th or 25th/26th/27th

It was shit.

Emeraldshamrock · 18/11/2019 07:43
