Hi,

Just wanting to know if a child is doing a scholarship (16 years old) do you have to keep paying child maintenance for them?

TIA

A scholarship for school fees? It’s totally different things. Yes you still need to pay maintenance.... unless I’ve misread your question!

HerondaleDucks · 16/11/2019 09:31

Yes you do

HugeAckmansWife · 16/11/2019 09:33

Its a child. As long as the resident parent is providing for them, the nrp should uld contribute too. Why would you not? In law, cms goes on til CB stops

Lockheart · 16/11/2019 09:33

Have you tried asking the CSA?

FunnyInjury · 16/11/2019 09:33

Do you mean a paid (ie sports team) scholarship?

My ex is still paying for dc even though dc is earning now, as I still have associated costs in providing a home, regular long drives to assist the dc etc. So I guess it depends Smile

So scholarship children no longer need to eat or wear clothes or sleep in a bed or pay bus fares or use lighting?

IWorkAtTheCheescakeFactory · 16/11/2019 09:37

Do you mean apprenticeship?

Rainbowqueeen · 16/11/2019 09:39

Yes

Not sure what relevance of scholarship is?????

The only thing I can think of is boarding school?

If the child is living away from home, and splits the school holidays between parents, presumably no maintenance would be owed?

Interesting one as the CSA is quite black and white about CM being paid to RP, and nights with NRP adjusted for. So would they enforce CM in the above case where costs are equal for both parents?

Think we need a bit more information OP
