To cancel our private health care?

Hi all,

Not sure what to do so please advise.

We currently have private healthcare with bupa for our family. It costs us £120 a month and if we claimed on it we would have to pay a £500 excess on it per person and that excess renews every year. It doesn’t cover any of our existing health problems (of which there are many) and unless we might have cancer or a serious problem we are unlikely to claim on it due to the high excess. However I wonder if we should hang on to it in light of this brexit mess and the uncertainty of the NHS.
Your thoughts please?

£120 a month with a £500 excess and it doesn't cover health issues you already have? Bloody hell, at least Dick Turpin wore a mask. I would definitely cancel it.

£500 excess is very high. If you're reluctant to cancel I would shop around for a better deal....

Well aren’t the stats for cancer something like 1 in 2 will
Get cancer so I’d say hang onto it.

I've just reinstated ours. Scary number of people affected by cancer these days and would want to make sure all options are covered. We pay more than that for four people on AXA but the excess is £100.
