Just wondering - I have heard mixed things.

Well some women get them and some don't so that's why you've heard mixed reviews. Much like any other pregnancy symptom, they vary from pregnancy to pregnancy and woman to woman.

marvellousnightforamooncup · 10/11/2019 13:19

Yes

SirVixofVixHall · 10/11/2019 13:20

Yes here too. An odd, grinding sort of feeling.

Celebelly · 10/11/2019 13:22

Had 'implantation cramps' every cycle TTC except for the the one I conceived on Grin I think confirmation bias is to blame for it a lot as well as being super aware of everything your body is doing when TTC and noticing aches and pains you would never have noticed before.

Ellemac0987 · 10/11/2019 13:29

What do they feel like? How long do they last? Thinking I have them but seem to be lasting for days so I’m starting to get worried

Mine were like light period pains and I also had some spotting with them. I actually thought my period was starting because I usually spot for the first day or so anyway.

NaviSprite · 10/11/2019 13:50

For me it was random 'popping' feelings with period like aches in the areas that were popping (if that makes sense?).

Through both pregnancies I also thought I'd had one or two periods very early on because I had two sets of period like bleeding that lasted 2-3 days, most people say that's not possible but it's happened to me twice!

As the first PP said, pregnancy affects many women very differently and whilst there are some symptoms that are considered usual, the way they are experienced can vary.

I knew I was pregnant with my twins - though I had no idea it was twins at that point, way before I got a positive test (I had very low hormone levels for both so only got one test with a faint positive line) but I had a random feeling of something in my abdomen and I started to cry a lot, not really happy or sad crying, it was really bizarre and I am not a crier generally. I tell people that now and they look at me like I'm a loon! Grin

I’ve had 5 DC and with one I had cramps and spotting at the time period would have been due, which I took to be implantation related.
Just one out of 5 though!

MinnieMountain · 10/11/2019 14:00

I had strong ones. And implantion bleeding, so I thought it was my period. DS was 16 weeks at the 12 week scan.

Banana770 · 10/11/2019 14:02

Yes, I had them with both of mine. Kind of like a niggling pain, didn’t really hurt!

AliceAbsolum · 10/11/2019 14:04

Yup I did. Very much like period pain.

crispysausagerolls · 10/11/2019 14:11

Yes! This month I had cramps 6 days before my period which for me is far too early and therefore I knew.

freddy45 · 10/11/2019 14:12

I had ivf and the time it worked I felt a really distinct sharp pain plus tiny spotting a few days post transfer. Only time it felt like that from transfer to test date.

Obviously pumped full of dodgy hormones and hyper aware though.

Ellemac0987 · 10/11/2019 14:29

I have had a full ache deep in my pelvis for about 3 days. Ring a bell to anyone? Not terribly painful but nothing ignorable either.

OP posts:
Minai · 10/11/2019 14:32

I’ve been pregnant twice and with ds1 I felt really strong period cramps a few days before my period was due (so assumed it was coming and never did).

With ds2 I felt nothing

Musereader · 10/11/2019 14:46

Mine were very much like the worst period pains ever like having a knife scraping my insides but with no blood, it was new years eve and i was expecting a period so i thought it was one - until i had gone 24 hours with pain and no sign of blood, the pain was less the next day and i spent jan 2nd at work googling to see if this was a symptom of anything other than pregnancy. Got a pregnacy test at lunchtime. Dd is 3 now.

Lillygolightly · 10/11/2019 14:46

I have 3 children, with my first and last I never noticed implantation. However with my middle child I was very in tune with my body as I was paying attention to my cycle days, temps etc and I knew and felt exactly when implantation happened. Did make it feel like the longest pregnancy ever though as I knew right away.

Poing · 10/11/2019 15:04

Had them with my first pregnancy but not the second. I didn't know what was happening except that the pain was so bad I couldn't walk straight and ended up going to hospital for pain relief after a day of crying.

Ellemac0987 · 10/11/2019 15:05

To be clear, what I’m feeling isn’t 2 days before my expected period. It’s about a week before my expected period. I did not have this with my first pregnancy. So I’m starting to get very worried since it is completely abnormal for me to feel such constant pain in my pelvis for 3 straight days

OP posts:
DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 10/11/2019 15:07

With DC2 yes, fuck me they hurt. 5DPO cramps a plenty and implantation bleed.

But none of that with the other three.

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 10/11/2019 15:08

constant pain in my pelvis for 3 straight days
I'd argue that that is not implantation pain.

I would get that checked out.

Bunnyfuller · 10/11/2019 15:11

Where’s the AIBU?

I guess the conception board is closed.

legalseagull · 10/11/2019 15:12

Every pregnancy for me. Always 5 days before my period was due. Felt like a whallop of period pain. I knew straight away I was pregnant and tested positive the same days

paintedfences · 10/11/2019 15:16

I had them - sort of like a period cramp but before the period started, and more of a tugging feeling. Never felt it ever before and it was a BFP when I tested.

crispysausagerolls · 10/11/2019 15:59

As i said above, mine was 6 days before so makes sense to me 🤷🏻‍♀️
