Well not unreasonable as such more frivolous.
They cost £148 for 3 people with Tui.Ive also been able to book my chosen seats which I'm pleased about. Are they worth the money? It's a big holiday for dh and mine 40ths next year.

My DH has short legs and I always do it....and, book the executive lounge too, and, fast track through security.
It's my belief that the journey should be part of the holiday and not just something to be endured.
If you can afford it, do it.....😊oops, just realised you have.
Have a great birthday, both of you.

We did it on way back from America this year and was sooooo worth it. 4 hours I could do without it though

If it's in your budget go for it.

I do budget holidays in Turkey, cheapest flights, carry on only, £5 bed and breakfast BUT I pay for a private taxi transfer to an from the airport. OK it's only about £60 - but a weeks b&b is only £35.

As a single traveller it's definitely worth it to me.

You decide your own priorities using the Martin Lewis maxims.

If you've no money ... Do I need it? Can I afford it?
If you have money ... Is it worth it? Will I use it?

OH is 6ft4- we always have to book extra leg room, his legs don't fit in the regular seats! Definitely worth it. I just booked flights for Tenerife in March and the actual flight was £30 each, the extra leg room for both of us was more than that! But it's a must.

100% worth it IMO! If you can afford it then I say go for it.

We went to America this year and ended up paying for premium economy - oh my god it was so worth the extra money just for the additional legroom you get!

I do recall a horrific cheapo holiday Monarch flight years ago where DH physically couldn't get his knees in behind the seat in front ...
that was fun Hmm

It was on one of those that my DH screamed out loud with pain when the woman in front tried to force her seat to recline. He had his knees jammed up against the back of her seat because he couldn't sit in the seat with his feet on the floor, there simply wasn't enough room. Five hours of misery for him.

One year we had seats with extra leg room. This was before the days when you had to pay for them and they were in middle of the plane . A transatlantic flight and the downside was people from the left side of the plane were walking across the front of our seats to get to the toilets on the right side. Extremely annoying the flight attendant kept apologising and tried to tell people that they were to use the toilets on their own side. I did at one point put my feet up on the wall on front to block them. Some were not amused by that
